Removing Batteries
CAUTION:
Battery gas can explode. Keep sparks and flames away from batteries. Use a flashlight to check battery electrolyte level. Never check battery charge by placing a metal object across the posts. Use a voltmeter or hydrometer. Always remove grounded (-) battery clamp first and replace it last.
Your machine may be equipped with one or two 12-volt hybrid batteries with negative ground. Use only batteries meeting following specifications:
IMPORTANT:
Check for worn or frayed wires and loose or corroded connections.
1.
Disconnect negative (-) battery cables first, then positive (+) cables.
2.
Remove nuts and hold down brackets.
3.
Lift batteries out of compartment.
