CAUTION: Several control patterns are available for this backhoe. Always verify control response before operating.

Prevent possible personal injury from unexpected machine movement. DO NOT operate backhoe unless you are in the operator’s seat in backhoe operation position with stabilizers DOWN.

IMPORTANT: To avoid machine damage, do not swing boom into stabilizers.

NOTE: When seat is turned to backhoe operation position, seat position sensor will sound an audible alarm and light the STOP indicator if FNR lever is moved to FORWARD or REVERSE position.

A conversion kit for changing John Deere two-lever controls to ISO excavator two-lever controls is available from your authorized dealer. Labels corresponding to the ISO two-lever controls MUST be installed.

Use dipperstick and swing lever (A), boom and bucket lever (B), and extendible dipperstick control pedal (C), if equipped, to operate backhoe. (See Operating Backhoe—ISO Excavator Two-Lever Controls in Operating the Machine chapter for operational information.)
