Check Engine Oil Level
IMPORTANT:
Prevent possible engine damage. DO NOT run engine when oil level is below the ADD mark.
The most accurate oil level reading is obtained when engine is cold before operation.
CAUTION:
Prevent possible injury from unexpected machine movement. Never rely on FNR/range lever to keep machine from moving. Always engage park brake to hold machine.
1.
Park machine on a level surface. Engage park brake.
CAUTION:
Prevent serious injury or death from unexpected machine movement. Always install the loader boom service lock, or lower the front loader boom fully to the ground, and move control levers to release hydraulic pressure before working near the front of the machine. IMPORTANT:
Do not raise or lower the front loader boom while the engine hood is open. Always close the engine hood fully before moving the front loader boom, or severe damage to the engine hood will occur. (See Opening and Closing the Engine Hood in Periodic Maintenance chapter for instructions.)
2.
Close engine hood. (See Opening and Closing the Engine Hood in Periodic Maintenance chapter for instructions.)
3.
Raise front loader boom and install loader boom service lock. (See Loader Boom Service Lock in Periodic Maintenance chapter for installation instructions.)
4.
Stop engine.
