Trenching

Trenches should be dug in a "V" to prevent cave-ins. (See Positioning Spoil Piles in this chapter for spoil dumping information.)

If cave-in occurs and cannot be reached from current position, DO NOT back over trench. Drive the machine to side at cave-in, and park at a 90° angle.
