1. If equipped with engine speed control knob, depress button on engine hand speed control knob and push knob all the way in.

2. If equipped with engine speed control knob, loosen hand speed control cable retainer cap screw (K).

3. With accelerator pedal at slow idle, loosen cable clamp (D).

4. Move cable clamp on support plate (T) for 540G-III, and 548G-III or (B) for 640G-III and 648G-III to obtain the specified lever override in slow idle position. Tighten cable clamp.

Specification

Slow Idle Injection Pump Lever Override -Distance 2-4 mm (0.08-0.16 in.)

5. Fully depress accelerator pedal. Loosen nut and adjust pedal stop cap screw (I) to obtain the specified lever override in fast idle position.

Fast Idle Injection Pump Lever Override -Distance 2-4 mm (0.08-0.16 in.)

6. With accelerator pedal at slow idle, tighten cable retainer cap screw (K).

7. Check engine speeds. If further adjustment is required, see your authorized dealer.
