2. If equipped with engine speed control knob, loosen hand speed control cable retainer cap screw (A).

3. Disconnect ball joint (H) from fuel injection pump lever.

4. Loosen cable clamp (P). With accelerator pedal at slow idle, move cable and clamp on support plate (I) to align ball joint stud with hole in lever. Tighten cable clamp.

5. Turn ball joint (H) counterclockwise one turn to lengthen cable. Assemble ball joint to lever and tighten nuts.

6. Loosen nut and turn pedal stop cap screw (E) clockwise 3 or 4 turns. Fully depress accelerator pedal. Adjust pedal stop cap screw (E) to contact accelerator pedal. Tighten lock nut.

7. With accelerator pedal at slow idle, tighten cable retainer cap screw (A).

8. Check engine speeds. If further adjustment is required, see your authorized dealer.
