Move FNR lever (A) to neutral (N). Engage neutral lock latch (B).
NOTE:
The key switch has an interlock to prevent multiple starting attempts. Once the key has been placed in the START position and back to RUN, the key must be turned to STOP before attempting to start again.

Turn key switch to ON position. Push horn button to sound horn to alert bystanders that machine will be started.
IMPORTANT:
Never operate starter motor for more than 20 seconds at a time. If engine fails to start after two or three tries, return key switch to STOP position. Wait for about 2 minutes, then try again.
After a false start, DO NOT turn key switch until engine stops or starter may be damaged.
Engine will not start by towing or pushing. Permanent damage to power train may result.

Turn key switch to START position. DO NOT crank engine more than 20 seconds. Wait 2 minutes before trying again. Release key when engine starts.
IMPORTANT:
If low engine oil pressure indicator does not go out within 10 seconds after starting engine, STOP THE ENGINE. Find and correct the cause.
5.
Operate machine at less than normal loads and at slow idle speed until engine warms up.
IMPORTANT:
If engine stops when operating under load, remove load. Restart engine immediately. Run 30 seconds at 1/2 speed before adding load.
