Using Booster Batteries-12 Volt System
Before boost starting, machine must be properly shut down to prevent unexpected machine movement when engine starts.
CAUTION:
Prevent possible injury from exploding batteries. An explosive gas is produced while batteries are in use or being charged. Keep flames or sparks away from the battery area. Charge batteries in a well-ventilated area.
IMPORTANT:
The machine electrical system is a 12-volt negative (-) ground. Use only 12-volt booster batteries.

Connect one end of positive cable to positive terminal of machine batteries and other end to positive terminal of booster batteries.
2.
Connect one end of negative cable to negative terminal of booster batteries. Connect other end of negative cable to machine frame as far away from machine batteries as possible.
3.
Start engine. (See Starting the Engine in this chapter.)
4.
Immediately after starting engine, disconnect end of negative cable from machine frame. Then disconnect other end of negative cable from negative terminal of booster batteries.
