NOTE:
When key switch is in OFF position, park brake is automatically engaged. Park brake may be engaged even though park brake switch is in OFF position. Check park brake indicator to determine if park brake is engaged or released.

Push park brake switch (1) to ON position.

Move engine speed control knob 1/3 way up (depress center button and raise or lower lever).

Press horn button (2) to sound horn.
IMPORTANT:
Never operate starter motor for more than 20 seconds at a time. If engine fails to start after two or three tries, return key switch to OFF. Wait for about 2 minutes, and then try again.
After a false start, DO NOT turn key switch until engine stops or starter may be damaged.
Engine will not start by towing or pushing. Permanent damage to transmission will result.

Turn key switch (3) to START position. Do not crank engine more than 20 seconds. Wait 10 seconds before trying again. If engine fails to start after two or three tries, return key switch to OFF and wait 2 minutes before trying again.
7.
Push park brake switch to OFF position to disengage park brake.
8.
Operate machine at 1/2 speed and at less than normal work load until engine is at operating temperature.
