Locking and Unlocking Machine Frame

CAUTION: Prevent unexpected machine movement and possible injury. Install frame locking pin before you work in frame pivot area.

2. Lower front-mounted equipment to ground.

3. Push park brake switch to ON to engage park brake.

IMPORTANT: Turbocharger may be damaged if engine is not properly shut down.

4. Run engine at 1/2 speed for 2 minutes before stopping engine to avoid damage to turbocharger.

5. Move engine speed control knob to slow idle position.

6. Turn key switch OFF. Remove key from switch.

7. Remove frame locking pin (2) from storage bracket (3) in operator's station and install in top hole of front frame (4).

8. If locking pin does not fall in place, return to cab, start engine, and slowly move steering wheel until locking pin falls in place. Secure locking pin with pin (1).

9. Move engine speed control knob to slow idle position.

10. Turn key switch OFF. Remove key from switch.

IMPORTANT: When removing frame locking pin, move steering wheel slowly to prevent damage to machine frame.

2. If frame locking pin does not fall through the frames to the ground, return to cab, start engine, and slowly move steering wheel until frame locking pin falls to ground.

4. Move engine speed control knob to slow idle position.

5. Turn key switch OFF. Retrieve pin.

6. Store frame locking pin in storage bracket (3) in operator's station.
