Servicing Air Conditioning System

causym CAUTION: Prevent possible injury from flying chips if compressed air is more than 210 kPa (2.1 bar) (30 psi). Reduce compressed air to less than 210 kPa (2.1 bar) (30 psi) when using for cleaning purposes. Clear area of bystanders, guard against flying chips, and wear personal protection equipment including eye protection.

1. Check the condenser core to see that it is not plugged with dirt or trash. Clean with compressed air less than 210 kPa (2.1 bar) (30 psi) or water when needed.

2. Check compressor belt tension.

3. Check compressor clutch engagement.

4. Check evaporator core for plugging.

5. Check air intake filters for plugging.

6. Check blowers for proper operation.

7. Run air conditioning system for several minutes.

8. Check sight glass (1) on the receiver dryer. Bubbles must not be present in sight glass. If bubbles are present, see your John Deere dealer for charging the air conditioning system.
