1.
Keep the trailer bed clean.
2.
Place chock blocks against truck wheels.
3.
Use a ramp or loading dock. Ramps must be strong enough, have a low angle, and correct height.
4.
Fasten seat belt before starting engine.
5.
Load and unload machine on a level surface.
6.
Drive machine onto the ramps slowly.
7.
The centerline of the machine should be over the centerline of the trailer.
8.
Lower front-mounted equipment onto blocks.
9.
Push park brake switch to ON to engage park brake.
CAUTION:
Prevent unexpected machine movement and possible personal injury. Install frame locking pin before transporting.

Install frame locking pin. (See Periodic Maintenance chapter.)

IMPORTANT:
Turbocharger may be damaged if engine is not properly shut down.
11.
Run engine at 1/2 speed for 2 minutes before stopping to avoid damage to turbocharger.
12.
Move engine speed control knob to slow idle position.
13.
Turn key switch OFF. Remove key from switch.
14.
Turn battery disconnect switch off.
15.
Cover exhaust opening to prevent entry of debris.
IMPORTANT:
Fasten chains or cables to machine frame. DO NOT put chains or cables over or against hydraulic lines or hoses.
16.
Fasten each corner of the machine to the trailer with a chain or cable with appropriate load binder.
17.
Place blocks in front of and behind tires.
