Change Swing Gearbox Oil

CAUTION: High pressure release of fluids from pressurized system can cause serious burns. Wait for propel gearbox to cool. Keep body and face away from fill plug. Gradually loosen fill plug to release air pressure.

1. Remove plug (1) mounted in lower gearbox housing. Drain oil into a container, dispose of waste oil properly. Swing gearbox capacity is 4.7 L (5 qt).

2. Install plug.

3. Remove fill cap (3) and add oil. (See Fuels and Lubricants chapter.)

4. Install fill cap.

5. Check oil on dipstick (2).
