Check Hydraulic Oil Level

IMPORTANT: Prevent damage to hydraulic system components. DO NOT run engine without oil in hydraulic tank. Pump damage will result.

1. Park machine on level surface. Position machine with arm cylinder at 1/2 stroke.

2. Lower front-mounted equipment to the ground.

IMPORTANT: Turbocharger may be damaged if engine is not properly shut down.

3. Run engine at 1/2 speed for 2 minutes before stopping to avoid damage to turbocharger.

4. Move engine speed control knob to slow idle position.

5. Turn key switch OFF. Remove key from switch.

6. When oil is cold, oil level must be to middle of top sight glass (A).

7. If necessary, add oil. (See Fuels and Lubricants chapter.)

NOTE: Rotate upperstructure approximately 20 degrees to the right to add hydraulic oil to the hydraulic tank.

8. Remove lock pins (3).

9. Remove cover (1).

10. Remove filler cap (2).

11. Add oil. Install filler cap. Install cover. Install lock pins.

12. Check oil level.
