Grease Swing Bearing
CAUTION:
Prevent possible injury from unexpected machine movement if controls are moved by another person. Lubricating swing bearing and rotating the upperstructure must be done by one person. Before you lubricate swing bearing, clear the area of all persons.
1.
Park machine on a level surface.
2.
Lower saw head to ground
3.
Press pilot shutoff switch to off position.
IMPORTANT:
Turbocharger may be damaged if engine is not properly shut down.
4.
Run engine without load for two minutes.
5.
Turn key switch to off position. Attach a "Do Not Operate" tag to key switch.
NOTE:
Grease fittings are located 180 degrees apart on the swing bearing.
6.
Lubricate swing bearing with ten shots of grease at front (1) and rear grease fittings. (See Fuels and Lubricants, Section 45.)
7.
Start engine. Raise saw head several inches off the ground and turn upperstructure 45 degrees.
8.
Repeat steps 2-7 three times.
