Adjust Engine Speed Control Linkage1. Push speed control knob (5) all the way down (slow idle position). Injection pump lever (4) must be against the slow idle adjusting screw (2).2. If injection pump lever is not against the slow idle adjusting screw, adjust as follows: a. Disconnect speed control link (3) from injection pump lever (4). b. Move injection pump lever against the slow idle stop. Loosen lock nut and adjust link until it can be connected to the injection pump lever. Tighten lock nut against link and connect link to injection pump lever. 3. Pull speed control knob up all the way for fast idle position. The injection pump lever should be against the fast idle stop. If it is not, recheck engine speed adjustments and control linkage slow idle adjustment.
