Operator's Daily Machine Check Before Starting

Safety and Protective Devices Checks

Walk around machine to clear all persons from machine area before starting machine.

Check back-up alarm, horn, turn signals and lights for correct operation.

Check condition of guards, shields and covers.

Overall Machine Checks

Check for worn or frayed electrical wires and loose or corroded connections.

Check for bent, broken, loose or missing sheet metal.

Check for loose or missing hardware.

Check for oil leaks, missing or loose hose clamps, kinked hoses and lines or hoses that rub against each other or other parts.

Check brake accumulators precharge. (See Check Brake Accumulators in Miscellaneous—Machine section.)
