Use oil viscosity based on the expected air temperature range during the period between oil changes.

John Deere PLUS-50 ® engine oil is preferred.

If John Deere PLUS-50 ® engine oil and a John Deere oil filter are used, the service interval for oil and filter changes may be extended by 50 hours.

John Deere TORQ-GARD SUPREME ® oil is also recommended.

Other oils may be used if they meet one or more of the following:

• John Deere UNI-GARD ™
• API Service Classification CG-4
• API Service Classification CF-4

Multi-viscosity diesel engine oils are preferred.

If diesel fuel with sulfur content greater than 0.5% is used, reduce the service interval by 50%.
