Calibrate HFWD Controller (HCU)This procedure calibrates the HFWD controller with HFWD pumps and motors to determine correct front wheel speed in each gear. Recalibrate whenever a major repair on HFWD system is required, replacement of solenoids, replacement of HCU or after 1000 hours of operation. NOTE: Calibration procedure will take about 20 minutes 1. Position machine with all wheels on the ground. 2. Put machine in PARK. 3. Turn Engine OFF. |

Disconnect HFWD Run Connector (2) from Run/Cal Connector (1). Connect Cal Connector (3) to connector (1).
5. Start machine. Use SERVICE ADVISOR ™ HFWD Calibration template to monitor calibration progress. (See SERVICE ADVISOR application Computer Connection in PDM kit instructions) 6. Turn HFWD Off/ON Switch (S9) ON. Indicator light on switch should blink. 7. Run Engine at high idle. Once engine is above 2000 rpm, the HFWD Off/On switch indicator light will stay on. NOTE: Do not depress the inching pedal at any time during the calibration procedure. 8. Turn HFWD Inching Mode Switch (S10) ON to start calibration. If switch is already ON at start-up, cycle switch OFF, then ON. 9. Calibration procedure will start. Indicator light on Inching Mode Switch will blink throughout calibration. If calibration is successful, lights on HFWD Off/On switch and HFWD Inching Mode Switch will remain ON. If calibration is not successful, lights on HFWD Off/On switch and HFWD Inching Mode Switch will blink alternately. Check for service codes. See Service Code Reference List in this section for code descriptions. 10. Turn engine OFF. 11. Reconnect HFWD Run Connector. |
