Using Mower Deck Service Latches

CAUTION: The machine can become unstable when driving on slopes or at high speeds with front attachment raised or removed. Travel at slow speeds and avoid sudden braking with attachment raised or removed.

The PTO will continue to run after the attachment is raised. Turn off PTO when not in use.

  1. Raise mower deck by pulling attachment lift lever rearward until deck reaches the top of its travel.

  2. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section.)

    Remove spring pin (A) and drilled pin (B) from mower deck lift arm.


  4. Insert bottom link of service latch chain (C) into welded bracket (D) on mower deck lift arm.

    Install drilled pin (B) through bracket and chain, and secure with spring pin.
