Adjusting Mower Deck Cutting Height (60 and 72 Inch)

  1. Raise mower deck completely.

  2. Park the machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section.)

  3. Lock the service latches on both of the lift arms.

    Cutting heights on decal and brackets.

    Choose the desired cutting height from those shown on the decal on the front of the mower deck. Note that each hole on the rear caster arm bracket (A) is matched with a group of six holes on the front caster arm bracket (B), shown by the connecting lines on the decal.



  5. Remove the spring pin from the front caster wheel adjuster (C), and insert the adjuster into the hole that matches the desired cutting height.
    (Note: Picture shows pin in the 7.6 cm (3 in.) cutting height position.)

  6. Install the spring pin. Repeat for the other side of the mower deck.

  7. Remove the spring pin from the rear caster wheel adjuster (D), and insert the adjuster into the hole that matches the desired cutting height.
    (Note: Picture shows rear pin in the 5.1 to 11.4 cm (2.0 to 4.5 in.) cutting height position to match the front position.)

  8. Install spring pin. Repeat for the other side of the mower deck.

    Remove retainer ring (E) from hanger pin (F) on rear of mower deck lift arm. Pull hanger pin from hole in adjustment plate (G).



  10. Insert the hanger pin into the hole in adjustment plate that corresponds to the desired cutting height.

  11. Install the retainer ring onto the hanger pin. Repeat for the lift arm on other side of the mower deck.

  12. Unlock the service latches.

  13. Lower the mower deck to the ground.
