NOTE: Procedure shown is for the 60 in. side discharge deck.
Procedure for the 62 in. and 72 in. deck is the same.

Drive machine up to mower deck, lining up center of machine
with mower deck drive shaft.

Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section.)

Remove retainer ring (A) from hanger pin (B) on both sides
of deck.

Pull hanger pins out of adjustment plates (C).

Remove spring pin (D) and drilled pin (E) from front of lift
arm (F), and remove lift arm from mower deck.

Remove hitch pin (G) and drilled pin (H) from each lift arm.

Insert the mower deck lift arms into the machine lift arm sockets.

Align the holes in lift arms with holes in lift arm sockets,
and install drilled pins (H) on left and right sides of machine. Install
hitch pins (G) into drilled pins.

CAUTION: Avoid injury! Hydraulic components may have stored
energy. Before servicing the machine, carefully release pressure from
any hydraulic components by lowering attachment components completely
and moving hydraulic control levers back and forth.
Remove cotter pin (I). Remove drilled pin (J) and remove cylinder.

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Make sure to install the upstop brackets
to prevent contact between the vehicle and driveshaft/gearbox.

Install lift cylinder shaft through the opening in up stop
bracket (K).

Align legs of upstop bracket with holes in lift arms and cylinder
(L). Secure with new drilled pins (M) provided in kit and cotter pins
(N).

Position the mower deck so the front attachment brackets
(O) are aligned with the ends of the lift arms.

Push attachment lift lever forward into float position.

Push down on lift arms until ends drop down into front attachment
brackets.

Install drilled pins through bracket and lift arm, and secure
with spring pins.

Start machine and raise mower deck to top of travel. Stop
engine. Mower deck should rotate as shown above.

Lock service latches (P) on left and right side mower deck
lift arms.
NOTE: Service latch chain has 7 links to accommodate all configurations.
Select chain link that provides the tightest fit.

spring pin (Q) and drilled pin (R) from anti-scalp wheel (S). Raise
the anti-scalp wheel to its highest position, and install drilled
pin and spring pin.
NOTE: 60 in. deck has one corner wheel, 72 in. deck has two
corner wheels.

Lift mower deck drive shaft (T) up and over the top of the
machine’s front axle (U). Extend the drive shaft to allow it
to sit on top of the axle.

Raise the rear of the mower deck and install the hanger pin
(V) into the hole in adjustment plate (W) that matches the cutting
height selected for the front caster wheels. (See decal on rear of
mower deck.)

Install retainer ring (X) onto hanger pin. Repeat for the other
lift arm.

Remove the service hatch on the machine, and attach the mower
deck drive shaft (Y) onto the machine PTO output shaft (Z) as follows:

Push the mower deck drive shaft onto the PTO output shaft. (It
may be necessary to turn the mower deck drive shaft to align the spines
of the two shafts.)

Once the splines align and the drive shafts begin to couple
together, pull the coupler ring (aa) forward and continue to push
the mower deck drive shaft rearward onto the PTO output shaft until
the coupler locks in place.

Release the coupler ring.
-
Push and pull the coupler until you are sure it is locked on
the shaft.

Close the service hatch.

Set the mower deck cutting height.
-
Adjust the anti-scalp wheel so height of wheel is 6 mm (1/4
in.) above the ground when on a level surface.

Unlock the service latches.
-
Lower the mower deck to the ground.
