Install Proper Ballast (1435, 1445, 1545, 1565)

CAUTION: Avoid injury! Machine can become unstable when operating with attachment. Ballast is required when the attachment is installed.

When the attachment is removed, also remove any ballast that was added to the machine.

Use only attachments and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.

When attaching mower decks to the front mower, add the following number of John Deere 19 kg (42 lb.) suitcase weights to the rear weight bracket kit to improve the handling and stability of the front mower.

• 60 in. Side Discharge Mower Deck - No Weights
• 72 in. Side Discharge Mower Deck - Two Weights
• 62 in. Rear Discharge Mower Deck - One Weight

   Remove spring pin (A).

2. Pull rod (B) out of weight bracket.

3. Add John Deere 19 Kg (42 lb.) suitcase weights to the weight bracket, as specified.

4. Install rod (B) and secure with spring pin (A).
