Removing Mower Deck

1. Raise mower deck and lock service latches.

2. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in Safety section.)

   Remove the service hatch on the machine, and locate the mower deck drive shaft (A).

4. Pull forward on the coupler ring (B), and pull the drive shaft off the PTO output shaft (C).

   Remove the retainer ring (D) from the hanger pin (E), and remove the hanger pin from the adjustment plate (F). Repeat for rear deck hanger on other side of machine.

6. Carefully lower the back of the mower deck to the ground.

7. Lower the mower deck to the ground.

   Remove spring pin (G) and drilled pin (H) from front of lift arm (I). Remove lift arm from mower deck.

   Remove the hitch pin (J) from drilled pin (K), and remove drilled pin from the lift arm socket (L). Repeat for other side of machine.

10. CAUTION: Avoid injury! The machine can become unstable when driving on slopes or at high speeds with front attachment raised or removed. Travel at slow speeds and avoid sudden braking with attachment raised or removed.

    Pull the mower deck lift arms (M) from the machine lift arm sockets (N).

11. Install the drilled pins into the lift arm sockets and secure with hitch pins.

12. Install the retainer rings back into hanger pins.

13. Install lift arms and pins back onto deck.
