Install Sheaves

1. Remove belt shield on discharge chute side of mower deck.

   CAUTION: Help prevent bodily injury. Before removing belt shield:

   • Stop engine and wait for all moving parts to stop.
   • Prevent burns by allowing engine to cool.
   • Disconnect spark plug wire.
   • Wear protective gloves when service is performed within the mower blade area.
   • Do not operate mower without belt shield.
   
   

2. Release tension from mower deck belt.

1. Remove four nuts (A). Raise sheave (B) to allow room to install hex head bolt (E) .

2. Install MCS sheave onto sheave (B) using four M6x16 hex head bolts (E).

3. Install nuts (A) through large slots (D).

4. Install M6 locknuts (F) onto M6x16 bolts (E).

5. Reset the belt tension per manual or label on deck.

60-Inch SD Decks

1. Install one more washer (A) on each bolt for total of two 10M washers on each bolt under the double sheave (B).

2. Install double sheave (B) and secure using four M8 nuts (C).

3. Reset the belt tension per manual or label on deck.

60-Inch MOD Decks

1. Remove retaining ring (A).

2. Lift and twist shield (B) counter clockwise to remove.

   Install one more washer (A) on each bolt for total of two 10M washers on each bolt under the double sheave (B).

4. Install double sheave (B) and secure using four M8 nuts (C).

5. Reset the belt tension per manual or label on deck.
