Lubricating Points

Lubricating Machine

When lubricating machine, use a general-purpose petroleum-based spray lubricant. Lubricate the following items:

   Apply spray lubricant to steering control levers pivot shaft (A).

2. Apply spray lubricant to steering lever latches (B).

3. Apply spray lubricant to throttle control cable (C).

4. Apply spray lubricant to choke control cable (D).

5. Use a general all-purpose grease to lubrication fittings on half shafts (E).

Lubricating Mower Deck

When lubricating mower deck, use a general all-purpose grease with an NLGI grade No.2 rating.

1. 
   TCAL45421-UN-12APR13

   Apply grease to caster wheel bearing grease fitting (A) on both wheels.

2. Apply grease to front caster bearing pivot grease fitting (B) on both wheels.

3. Apply spray lubricant to front caster wheel pivot bushings (C) on both sides.

4. Lubricate mower deck grease fittings:

32 and 36 Inch Decks

• Remove mower belt cover, and apply grease to two spindle bearing grease fittings (D), until grease is expelled from vent on spindle housings.
• Apply grease to drive belt idler arm pivot joint (E).

48 Inch Deck

•

  Remove mower belt cover, and apply grease to three spindle bearing grease fittings (F), until grease is expelled from vent on spindle housings.
