Install Front Roller

  1. CAUTION: Avoid injury! Blades are sharp. Always wear gloves when handling blades or working near blades.

    NOTE: Front roller can be installed in two positions relative to reel. Better contour following can be achieved if front roller is positioned closer to reel. Front roller must be positioned farther from reel if installing Turf Conditioner or Rotary Turf Brush.

    Install front roller (A) with bracket (B) onto height of cut rod (C). Secure with socket head bolt (D) and nut (E).

    Add grease to fittings (F) on both sides of roller to lubricate roller bearings. Clean excess grease from fittings.


  3. Adjust bedknife to reel. (See “Adjusting Bedknife-To-Reel” story in the OPERATING—CUTTING UNITS section of your Operator’s Manual.)

  4. Adjust cutting height. (See “Adjusting Cutting Height” story in the OPERATING—CUTTING UNITS section of your Operator’s Manual.)
