Cleaning Fuel Sediment Bowl and Fuel Filter

    Turn fuel shut-off valve (A) to the OFF position.


  2. Unscrew and remove sediment bowl (B) and O-ring (C).

  3. Remove fuel filter screen (D).

  4. Thoroughly clean sediment bowl (B) and fuel filter screen (D) with John Deere degreasing solvent or equivalent.

  5. Install fuel filter screen (D) with tab (E) aligned with slot (F), and tab (G) aligned with notch (H) on carburetor.

  6. Install O-ring (C) and sediment bowl (B). Securely tighten sediment bowl.

  7. Turn fuel shut-off valve to the full open (ON) position and check for leaks.
