Installing Belts

1. Place belts on engine sheave and gear case sheave.

2. Move engine rearward to tension belts. Engine sheave must be aligned with driven sheave.

3. Tighten four engine nuts.

4. Check belt adjustment.

   Adjust belt guide (D) using two bolts (E). The clearance between the belt and guide when clutch is engaged should meet specifications.

6. NOTE: Belt guide helps prevent movement when clutch is disengaged.

   Install shield.
