Starting The Engine

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Aeration head must be fully raised before starting engine or machine travel. If head is not fully raised, tine action begins.

  1. Lock park brake (A).

  2. Raise the aeration head completely.

    Pull choke (B) out to set choke at closed position.



  4. Set throttle lever (C) midway between slow and fast positions.

  5. Turn key switch to the start position. Release key to run position when engine starts.

  6. Adjust choke position:

    • For a warm engine: Move choke to open position after engine has started.
    • For a cold engine: Gradually return the choke to the open position after allowing the engine to warm up.
