Removing and Installing Turf Guard

  1. NOTE: Turf guard fingers can become twisted or bent, damaging the tines. If tine holders are changed, turf guards must be changed.

    CAUTION: Avoid injury! Rotating parts can catch fingers, loose clothing, or long hair. Wait for engine and all moving parts to stop before leaving operators station to adjust or service machine.

    Park the machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

    Remove hardware (A) securing turf guards to machine frame.



  3. Remove turf guards (B) and install proper guards.

  4. Center the guards to allow tines to drop between guard fingers.

    Secure guards to brackets (C) with carriage bolts in slotted holes through bottom of bracket and guard, flat washer, and lock nut on top. Tighten hardware.
