Adjusting Turf Guard Spring Tension

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Proper turf guard spring adjustment is critical to good hole quality. The turf guard must be firmly on the ground to prevent turf lifting. Excessive turf guard pressure can cause marking in soft turf.

Adjusting tine depth can affect turf guard ground pressure.

  1. Remove aerating head cover and left battery cover.

    Locate adjustment bolt (A) and spring on either side of battery.



  3. TCAL41136
    TCAL41136-UN-18JAN13

    Tighten nut (B) to increase tension of turf guard on the turf.



  4. Loosen nut (B) to decrease tension of the turf guard on the turf.

  5. Install covers.
