Transporting Utility Vehicle
CAUTION: Avoid injury! Use caution when operating machine at
transport speeds. Reduce speeds if towed load weighs more than machine.
Consult towed equipment operator’s manual for recommended transport
speeds. Use extra caution when transporting towed loads
under adverse surface conditions, especially when turning, and on
inclined surfaces.
Use of warning lights and turn signals are recommended when
traveling on public roads unless prohibited by state or local regulations.
An implement safety lighting kit is available from your John Deere
dealer.

Drive vehicle forward onto a trailer.

Park vehicle safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section.)

Diesel Models: Turn the fuel shutoff
valve to the “OFF” position during transport.

Block rear wheels with chocks or wood blocks.

Fasten vehicle to trailer with heavy-duty straps, chains, or
cables.

The tie-downs must be attached to oval slots (A) provided
on both sides of the main frame under the front of the vehicle. Attach
the tie-downs on both sides of the hitch assembly (B) at the rear
of the vehicle.

Both front and rear straps must be directed down and outward
from the vehicle.

When transporting the utility vehicle on a road or highway,
use accessory lights and devices for adequate warning to operators
of other vehicles. Check local, state, provincial, or federal laws.
