Replace Fuel Filter (Gas Models)

CAUTION: Avoid injury! Fuel vapors are explosive and flammable:

• Do not smoke while handling fuel.

• Keep fuel away from flames or sparks.

• Shut off engine before servicing.

• Cool engine before servicing.

• Work in a well-ventilated area.

• Clean up spilled fuel immediately.

NOTE: Change filter when fuel is low.

  1. Raise attachment to service position. (See Using the Lift Cylinder Safety Support in the Safety section.)

  2. Park vehicle safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section.)

    Remove quick connection fitting by depressing button on connectors (A) and pulling it off.



  4. Loosen fastener securing clamp (B) that holds the filter and remove filter.

  5. NOTE: When installing a new fuel filter, make sure the filter arrow is pointed toward the back of the machine.

    Install new filter.

  6. Tighten clamp (B) fastener.

  7. Lubricate lightly the filter ends with engine oil.

  8. Push fuel line connectors on filter until it securely clicks into place.
