Check Brake Fluid Level

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Avoid contamination of the brake fluid. Thoroughly clean area around the filler cap before removing. Do not open the brake fluid reservoir cap unless absolutely necessary.

Use extreme care when filling the reservoir. Fluid spilled on painted surfaces can cause damage.

Use only brake fluid from a sealed container.

  1. Park vehicle safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section.)

Visually check the see-through reservoir (A) for the appropriate amount of fluid.

    • Fluid levels must be maintained between the “MAX” maximum and “MIN” minimum fill lines (B).
    • If the fluid level is above the “MIN” minimum fill line, do not open the cap.

  4. If fluid is low:

    • Carefully clean area around reservoir cap (C). Unscrew cap.
    • Add fluid until level is midway between the reservoir fill lines.

  5. Install reservoir cap; wipe up any spills.

  6. Install front grille.
