Using Troubleshooting Blink Code Chart
Before attempting to troubleshoot your vehicle using Diagnostic
Trouble Codes listed, ensure MIL system is working correctly. The
light should illuminate when key is in RUN position, and engine is
not running. This feature verifies that the lamp is in proper working
order. If the light does not illuminate with vehicle key in RUN position
and engine OFF, see your Technical Manual or your authorized John
Deere dealer. Once the engine has started, the light should go off.
If light stays on while engine is running, a current Diagnostic Trouble
Code may be set or a problem may exist with the MIL electrical wiring.
The following is not a complete list of Diagnostic Trouble Codes
which may display on your machine instrument panel when blink code
function has been initiated. Contact your John Deere dealer when any
other codes are displayed. If multiple codes are listed, always troubleshoot
using the lowest first.
