• Air cleaner element(s) plugged - replace filter element.

• Inspect the air inlet system for cracks or breaks that may allow unwanted under hood air in to the air inlet system.

• The exhaust system for leaks.

• Operating in an enclosed area.

Engine Coolant Temperature Higher Than Expected (Stage 1)NOTE: Engine power will automatically reduce to 50% of normal capacity.

• Air cleaner element plugged - replace filter element.

• Clean radiator air intake screen, fan shroud and cooling fins.

• Clean oil cooler coils (optional).

• Check engine oil level - add oil.

• Low coolant level.

• Cooling system needs flushing.

• Defective radiator cap.

• Fan fuse blown.

• Defective fan switch relay.

• Defective thermostat.

• Loose or defective alternator belt.

• Operating at too fast ground speed for conditions,

• Excessive load.
