Cleaning Radiator Cooling Fins and Fan Shroud

CAUTION: Avoid injury! Compressed air can cause debris to fly a long distance.

• Clear work area of bystanders.

• Wear eye protection when using compressed air for cleaning purposes.

• Reduce compressed air pressure to 210 kPa (2.10 bar) (30 psi).

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Dirty cooling fins and radiator screens can cause engine overheating. The radiator cooling fins and fan shroud must be clean.

  1. Raise attachment to service position. (See Using the Lift Cylinder Safety Support in the Safety section.)

  2. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section.)

    Remove radiator screen (A).



  4. Remove dirt and debris from the radiator cooling fins (B) and fan shroud (C) using compressed air or low-pressure water.

  5. Check radiator fins for damage.

  6. Install radiator screen.

  7. Lower attachment.
