Changing Primary Air Cleaner Element

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Do not disturb air cleaner unless red plunger is visible in air restriction indicator window.

NOTE: Clean inside of air cleaner cover once removed.

   Stop engine. Remove cover (A).

2. Remove and discard primary air cleaner element.

3. Install new primary air cleaner element into housing.

4. Install cover with dust unloading valve oriented down.

5. Start engine.

6. Check air restriction indicator.

7. If indicator shows 500 mm (20 in) vacuum or more, replace secondary air cleaner element.

Changing Secondary Air Cleaner Element

1. Remove cover and primary air cleaner element.

2. Remove and discard secondary air cleaner element.

3. Install new secondary air cleaner element.

4. Install primary air cleaner element.

5. Install cover with dust unloading valve oriented down.
