Testing Neutral Start Switch

NOTE: Repeat this test three times, with the motion control levers in the following positions:

  • Right side motion control lever inward.
  • Left side motion control lever inward.
  • Both motion control levers inward.

  1. Move motion control lever(s) inward to the neutral position.

  2. Lock the park brake.

  3. Turn PTO off.

  4. Turn key switch to the start position.

  5. Result: The engine must not crank.
