Adjusting Mower Deck Drive Belt Tension (72 in. SD)

  1. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section.)

  2. Remove belt shields.

    Loosen nuts (A) and (B).


  4. Measure length of belt tension spring (C) from hook to hook. Overall length must be 125 mm (4.9 in.) inside hooks.

  5. Adjust nut (D) until length of belt tension spring is correct.

  6. Tighten nuts (A) and (B).

  7. Install belt shields.
