Checking Drive Belt Bearing Gap

Avoid Injury! Rotating parts catch fingers, loose clothing,
or long hair. To adjust or service machine, wait for engine and all
moving parts to stop before leaving operators station.

With vehicle in Neutral, rotate the driven clutch three revolutions
to seat the belt.

Measure the gap between the bearing and drive belt. Verify belt
gap is to specification.

Drive Belt to Bearing | Gap | 0—2 mm (0—0.08 in) |

Rotate the driven clutch while observing the bearing. The belt
should not contact the bearing at any point during rotation.
Adjust Bearing Gap

Loosen nut holding bearing post to transmission plate.

Slide bearing post to reposition bearing.

Tighten nut to specification.

Measure the gap between the bearing and drive belt. Verify belt
gap is to specification.
