Avoid damage! To prevent oil leaks and engine damage,
use only John Deere engine oil filter AM145365.
Avoid damage! Change the oil more often if the vehicle
is used in extreme conditions:

Run engine to warm the oil.

Park the machine safely. (See Parking Safely in SAFETY.)

Place drain pan under engine drain plug (A) and oil filter
(B).

Remove drain plug (A) and drain oil into oil drain pan. Allow
oil to drain completely.

Remove and discard oil filter (B) on engine. Wipe off filter
base on engine.

Put a light coat of clean engine oil on gasket of new oil filter.

Install new filter until rubber gasket contacts filter base.
Tighten filter an additional 3/4 to full turn. Do not damage the filter
during installation.

Install drain plug. Tighten to specification.

Lift cargo box.

Remove oil fill cap from filler opening in oil tank.

Do not overfill crankcase with oil. Oil capacities
given are with engine and crankcase completely dry. Some oil will
remain in engine after draining.
Add recommended fluid. Do not overfill.

Install oil fill cap.

Start and run engine at idle for 30 seconds; check for leaks.

Operate engine at 4000 rpm for 30 seconds; check for leaks.

Stop engine. Fix any leaks before operating.

Check oil level, add oil if necessary.

Lower cargo box.
