Installing Belt Drive Module

A - Nut, M10
B - Hanger Bracket, Front
C - Carriage Bolt, M10X25
Remove and retain nut (A) from rear of front hanger bracket
(B).

Replace carriage bolt (C) with longer one from bag of parts.
-
Repeat for other side.
-
Position belt drive module assembly under machine.

Align and install belt drive module assembly (A) to lift
arm pins (B).

D - Nut, M10
Align and install frame rail (A) to carriage bolt (B) at
rear of front hanger bracket (C).

Loosely install previously removed nut (D) onto carriage bolt.
-
Repeat for other side.
-
Tighten all nuts to 55 N·m (40 lb·ft).

Install washer (A) and spring pin (B) to lift arm pin as
shown.

Align and install belt drive module (A) to lift arm pins
(B).

Install carriage bolt (C) from square hole on machine frame
through square hole in rear of belt drive module.

Install nut (D) onto carriage bolt and tighten nut to 55 N·m
(40 lb·ft).
-
Repeat for other side.
-
Reinstall washer (E) and spring pin (F) from removed lift arms.
-
Repeat for other side.
Machines with Manual PTO

Install PTO engagement spring (A) into hole on tension arm
(B).

Install PTO engagement cable (C) into bracket (D) on drive belt
module with spring pin (E).

Cycle PTO engagement lever on machine dash to verify tension
arm operation.
Installing Drive Belt
-
Bring machine into alignment with snowblower. Do not attach
snowblower at this time.
-
Remove two belt guide nuts (A) and belt guide (B) from snowblower.
NOTE: Belt guide arrives from manufacturer uninstalled.

Route drive belt (C) around snowblower pulley (D).

Reinstall belt guide to snowblower with two nuts.
Install Snowblower Housing to Hitch

A - L-pin

C - Hitch Channel
Pull L-pins (A) and rotate clockwise into channels in pin
brackets.
-
Lower snowblower hitch to down position, so that lock pin engages
with bottom wedge of left hand mounting bracket. Verify that lock
pin is fully engaged.
-
Lift snowblower and engage welded pins (B) into channel in hitch
(C).
-
Rotate L-pins counter-clockwise out of channels in pin brackets.
-
Verify both L-pins engage into the holes in the snowblower.
Raise or lower the snowblower housing slightly to complete this step.
-
Raise snowblower to transport position, so that lock pin engages.
Verify that lock pin is fully engaged.
Install Chute Control

Components removed for better view.
A - Assembly, Control Bracket
B - Carriage Bolt, M6x45
Open hood.
-
Position chute control bracket (A) on console and install carriage
bolt (B). Install M6 serrated lockwasher, M6.4 washer, and M6 wingnut
on carriage bolt from underneath hood. Tighten securely.

Install M6 serrated lock washer and wing nut onto carriage bolt
from underside of console. Tighten wing nut.
CAUTION: Avoid injury! Snowblower rotating parts may continue
to rotate if primary drive belt tension is improperly adjusted. Inspect snowblower rotating parts and adjust primary drive belt
tension if necessary.
Route Drive Belt

Install drive belt to machine, Manual PTO
models:

C - Drive Belt
E - Pulley, Machine PTO
F - Hole, 10 mm (3/8 in) Square
G - Tension Arm

Verify PTO engagement lever is in the disengaged position.
-
From right side of machine, route drive belt (C) around machine
PTO pulley (E) and inside belt guides.
-
With machine off, cycle PTO engagement lever from disengaged
to engaged position and back to disengaged position. Verify drive
belt tension increases with lever in engaged position and decreases
in the disengaged position. Disengage PTO lever.
NOTE: The belt drive is a low tension system. Do not be alarmed
by low belt tension.

Install drive belt to machine, Electric PTO
models:
-
From right side of machine, insert 10 mm (3/8 in) socket drive
into square hole (F) in tension arm (G).
-
Rotate tension arm counterclockwise toward front of machine.
-
Route drive belt (C) around PTO pulley (E) and inside belt guides.
-
Relieve tension on tension arm and remove socket drive from
tension arm.
-
Verify drive belt tensions onto pulleys.
-
Verify drive belt twist is no greater than 180 degrees.
