Checking Brake Fluid Level

Avoid damage! Avoid contamination of the brake fluid. Clean the area around the filler cap before removing. Do not open the reservoir cap unless necessary.

Use extreme care when filling the reservoir. Fluid spilled on painted surfaces causes damage.

Use only brake fluid from a sealed container.

  1. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

  2. Open hood.

  3. Do not overfill the reservoir. Overfilling causes leakage.

Visually check brake fluid reservoir. Brake fluid level must be between “MIN” (A) and “MAX” (B) marks. If fluid is low:

    • Carefully clean area around the reservoir cap (C).
    • Remove reservoir cap and add fluid to the “MAX” mark.

  4. Install reservoir cap.

  5. Close hood.
