Cleaning Primary Drive Clutch and Enclosure

Avoid damage! Never lubricate any part of the primary drive clutch.

  1. Park the machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

  2. Raise and secure cargo box.

    Loosen clamp (A).



  4. Remove seven screws (B) and five push retainers (C).

  5. Remove side panel and air intake hose (D) as an assembly.

    Through the access hole (E), use compressed air to blow dust and debris out of clutch fan area.

    Check exhaust port (F) for debris.

    If debris is found inside the exhaust port (F), remove shock (G), 11 bolts, and outer clutch enclosure cover (H).

    Clean inside clutch enclosure cover, clutch enclosure base (I), and around drive (J) and driven clutch (K) assemblies.



  10. Install cover.

  11. Install shock.

  12. Install air intake hose and side panel.

  13. Lower the cargo box.
