Testing Rear PTO Operation (Optional)

Operate rear PTO with operator off seat:

Avoid injury! Read your machine operator manual and all safety labels on your machine before operating rear PTO.

1. Neither the mid PTO nor the combine mid and rear PTO function runs with the operator off the seat.

   Shut off engine.

2. Lock park brake.

3. Raise rear PTO lever in up position for rear PTO operation.

4. Start engine.

5. Pull PTO switch to on position.

6. Rear PTO operates.

   Seat switch, if activated, either by sitting on seat or pushing down on seat, shuts off rear PTO.

7. To start PTO if seat switch has been activated and PTO has been shut off:

   1. Push PTO switch to off position
   2. Pull PTO switch to on position
   
   

Operate rear PTO with operator on seat:

Any PTO function runs with operator on seat.

1. Raise PTO lever to up position for rear PTO operation.

2. With operator on seat start engine.

3. Release park brake.

4. Pull PTO switch to “ON” position.

5. Rear PTO operates.

6. If operator leaves seat or pushes reverse pedal, PTO shuts off.

   To start PTO if seat switch has been activated and PTO has shut off:

   1. Push PTO switch to “OFF” position.
   2. Pull PTO switch to “ON” position.
