Servicing Air Intake
- Park the machine safely. (See Parking Safely in SAFETY.)
Checking and Cleaning Air Intake

Allow engine to cool.

Tilt seats forward.

Raise and secure cargo
box with latch support.

Check intake hose (A) for damage or cracking. Replace if
necessary.

Remove four rubber latch
straps (B) on each side of cover (C). Remove cover (C).

Clean any debris from inlet (D).

Check foam cleaner (E)
for dirt or debris. Clean and dry completely and install back onto
air intake.

Install cover (C) back
onto air intake and secure with eight rubber straps.

Lower the cargo box.

Lower seats.
Servicing Air Cleaner Element
Avoid damage! Dirt and debris can enter engine when
air cleaner canister is opened. Do not open canister unless required
for scheduled service, keeping contamination of the intake system
to a minimum. Check filter element more frequently if
operating in dusty conditions.

Allow engine to cool.

Tilt seats forward.

Raise and secure cargo
box with latch support.

Remove four rubber latch
straps (B) on each side of cover (C). Remove cover (C).

Remove and discard filter element (D). Replace with a new
filter element.

Clean any debris from
inlet (E).
-
Clean dust unloading
valve.
-
Install cover (C) back
onto air intake and secure with eight rubber straps.

Lower the cargo box.
-
Lower seats.
Cleaning Dust Unloading Valve
Avoid damage! Do not operate engine without air cleaner
element and rubber dust unloading valve installed.

Allow engine to cool.
-
Raise and secure cargo
box with latch support.

Squeeze dust unloading valve (A) to clean.
-
Remove and replace if
damaged.
-
Lower the cargo box.
