Start Engine
Avoid injury! Engine exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide
and can cause serious illness or death. Do not run an
engine in an enclosed area, such as a garage, even with doors or windows
opened.
Move the machine to an outside area before running the engine.
Use a remote fuel supply to start and run engine. See
DTAC solution 63832 for instructions on how to build a remote tank.
Add a fuel stabilizer, such as John Deere TY27534 Fuel Protect (or
equivalent) to all fuel used for PDI. Do not add fuel to the tractor
fuel tank!
-
Check engine oil level. Level should be between the "ADD" and
"FULL" marks.
-
If engine starts slowly, charge the battery.
