Cleaning Debris from Cooling System


Z735E and Z735M

  1. Park machine safely on a level surface.(see Parking Safely in the SAFETY section)

  2. Remove air cleaner cover. Do not remove the air filter. (See Checking and Replacing Air Filtration System (Briggs & Stratton Engine) in the SERVICE ENGINE section.).

    Loosen and remove two clean out port screws (A).



  4. Remove port covers (B).

  5. Compressed air can cause debris to fly a long distance.

    • Clear work area of bystanders.
    • Wear eye protection when using compressed air for cleaning purposes.
    • Reduce compressed air pressure to 210 kPa (30 psi).

    Remove spark plug wires.

  6. With compressed air, thoroughly clean debris buildup from each side of the air cleaner.

  7. Install spark plug wires.

  8. Install port covers (B) with screws (A) on the shroud.

  9. Install air cleaner cover. (See Checking and Replacing Air Filtration System (Briggs & Stratton Engine) in the SERVICE ENGINE section.).

Z730M

  1. Park machine safely on a level surface. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

  2. Remove air cleaner cover. Do not remove the air filter. (See Checking and Replacing Air Filtration System (Kawasaki Engine) in the SERVICE ENGINE section.)

  3. Avoid Injury! Compressed air can cause debris to fly a long distance.

    • Clear work area of bystanders.
    • Wear eye protection when using compressed air for cleaning purposes.
    • Reduce compressed air pressure to 210 kPa (30 psi).

    Remove spark plug wires.

    With compressed air, thoroughly clean debris buildup from cooling fin area (A).



  5. Install air cleaner cover. (See Checking and Replacing Air Filtration System (Kawasaki Engine) in the SERVICE ENGINE section.)

  1. Park machine safely on a level surface. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)
